Q
How long can data be saved?
A
Data is saved based on belt length and width. A 500GB disk is provided, and data is overwritten when storage is full.
Q
What is the system used for?
A
The online monitoring system is designed to monitor and report belt damage events and splice movements, preventing accidents that could compromise the safety of the entire conveyor system.
Q
What kinds of damage can be detected with your equipment?
A
Our system detects all internal damages and splice movements—the only two factors that can cause belt breakage.
Q
How does the device work?
A
It uses x-ray imaging. The dark lines represent the steel wire ropes, while the gray areas show the rubber layer. Our software, powered by AI (artificial intelligence), analyzes these images to identify and categorize any damages.
Q
What are the advantages compared to magnetic devices?
A
Magnetic devices only simulate the steel cord image by converting magnetic signals, whereas our x-ray system captures real x-ray images, providing a clear, accurate visual that makes it much easier for both humans and computers to detect defects.
Q
What are the advantages of your x-ray system over others in the market?
A
DMC was the first company to develop this system and has over 15 years of experience. We've compiled data from more than 3,000 conveyor belts worldwide, continuously refining our algorithms to improve accuracy and efficiency. No other company offers this level of expertise and data-backed precision.
Q
What results can we expect from the device?
A
All detected defects are identified and categorized within the software. You can click to view any defect instantly, and a comprehensive PDF report detailing all defects is generated, which you can save or print at your convenience.
Q
What is the range of belt widths that can be detected?
A
Our system works with belts ranging from 0.8m to 2.2m in width.
Q
Is there a length restriction for belts?
A
No, there is no length limit. The longest belt we’ve scanned is 29km, and the data was collected without any loss of information.
Q
Are there any restrictions on importing x-ray devices?
A
No, the system has been exported to many countries. Simply declare it under HS code 9022.19, and no additional application is required.
Q
Where should the device be installed?
A
It’s typically installed near the head or tail of the conveyor system. Our technicians will determine the best location during the pre-sales consultation.
Q
Is there a height requirement for installation?
A
Yes, ensure enough clearance between the return belt and the ground, generally at least the width of the belt, as the x-ray beam operates at a 45° angle. If space is limited, the device can be installed upside down. Our technicians will find the optimal placement during installation.
Q
What is the production lead time?
A
Production takes 20 days after receiving the 30% advance payment.
Q
What are your payment terms?
A
We accept T/T, with 30% payment upfront, and the remaining balance due before shipment.
Q
How do I choose the right device among the three types?
A
Can I have your company name and industry?
Based on your response:
The fixed type is ideal for end-users. It’s installed permanently and can monitor the belt continuously.
The mobile type suits service providers. It’s lightweight, easy to transport, and can test multiple belts in a short time.
The handheld type is more affordable but can only test the belt when the conveyor system is powered off and covers smaller sections.
Q
What services do you provide from China?
A
DMC offers 24/7 professional online support. We’ve helped many clients worldwide and have developed a comprehensive system for efficient service delivery.
Q
How do you ensure proper installation and use of the system?
A
We provide 2 days of online installation training and an 8-hour support session during the initial installation and use. Alternatively, you can send your engineers to our factory in China for a 5-day training program.
Q
Do you send technicians onsite?
A
Yes, we can send technicians to your location based on your needs.
Q
How much does the system cost?
A
For belts between 0.8m and 2.2m wide, prices range from $60,000 to $90,000, depending on the belt width. Please email us for further information, and we will provide you with a customized system solution and an accurate quotation.
Q
Can the system display belt speed?
A
No, belt speed must be manually input in the settings. If you need precise speed measurements, we recommend incorporating our positioning equipment into the system.
