New Product Launch — One System to Simultaneously Monitor the Inside and Outside of the Conveyor Belt
I. A Real-World Case Study
An X-ray inspection report from a mine revealed: At splice No. 372, there was a slight break in the steel cord core—a single broken wire—with a safety rating of "Fair."
During the same period, a belt surface monitoring report showed: In the same area, there was minor damage to the cover layer, less than 3 cm in diameter, also rated "Fair."
Both systems independently identified issues, and both were within the "normal range." The on-duty technician glanced at them separately and didn't pay much attention.
Three months later, that splice failed.
A post-mortem investigation revealed: That minor surface damage was actually an impact puncture from falling material. The single broken wire seen in the inspection was snapped by the very same impact. If left untreated, moisture would seep in through the crack, and the interior would eventually rust.
Both systems reported it. One reported an external break, the other reported an internal break—but they operated in silos. No one noticed the critical causal chain in between.
Detected, but never correlated.
Are you facing the same situation?
Spending the budget on two systems, yet still having to piece together reports manually.

II. A Conveyor Belt is a Whole System—Why Should Inspection Be Divided into Two?
DMC Technology newly launched Belt Core and Surface Composite Monitoring System does just one thing:
One system, one interface, monitoring both inside and out simultaneously.
See inside: One-click traceability of internal steel cords—check for rust or breakage.
See outside: One-click positioning of the corresponding belt surface—assess damage size and identify the root cause.
The key isn't individual capability, but rather that these two sets of data finally talk to each other.
At the same location, surface damage and core wire breakage are automatically correlated. The system directly tells you: Is it from external impact, wear and tear, or has the damage already propagated from the inside out? No more flipping through two reports to piece together a conclusion.

III. What Does This Mean for You?
First, no downtime required—online inspection.
Inspection is completed while the belt is running. No need to schedule a maintenance window, dismantle the belt, or send personnel into the tunnels.
Second, no more guesswork.
Whether it's a core issue, a surface issue, or internal-external propagation—the system directly tells you the correlation and risk level. Two reports merge into one diagnostic sheet. You no longer have to act as a "human data cable."
Third, older equipment just needs an upgrade.
The product has obtained the Safety Mark Certificate (MA Certification). If you are already using our X-ray monitoring system, you only need to add some accessories to upgrade directly to this system—no need to start from scratch. Small cost, big results.
Fourth, software iterations are always free.
Software functions are continuously iterated, AI algorithms constantly updated, and it connects to the full life-cycle management platform for equipment. —Buying it isn't the end point; it's the starting point of getting smarter with use.
IV. Back to the Mine Mentioned at the Beginning.
If this system had been in place—the surface impact damage and the core wire breakage would have been automatically correlated on the same interface. The system would have directly alerted: "Splice No. 372 area: External impact damage to the cover layer. Internal steel cord shows signs of rust. Priority handling recommended."
The technician wouldn't have had to flip through two reports.
The technician wouldn't have had to judge "how serious it is" by comparing two reports.
And that minor damage wouldn't have silently developed into a major problem.
Belt issues don't distinguish between inside and outside, so inspection shouldn't be divided into two systems.
