Summary

DMC’s independently developed 3D Belt Rip and Belt Surface Damage Monitoring System has successfully completed the Phase I project acceptance at Gaoyang Coal Mine.
A dedicated project team of 13 members spent 60 days on site, starting work underground as early as 6:30 a.m. each day. Despite numerous challenges—including limited underground access quotas, power and network interruptions, and a humid, dark working environment—the team remained committed to delivering the project successfully.
Under the coordination of on-site project leader Guan Jie, all installation, commissioning, and testing activities were carried out efficiently and according to schedule.
On May 31, executives from Fenxi Group and representatives from its subsidiary mining companies witnessed the on-site system testing. During the demonstration, the system accurately detected an intentionally created belt damage and immediately triggered the conveyor shutdown protection function. The performance received strong recognition and positive feedback from all attendees.
The project has now officially entered Phase II, focusing on long-term stability and reliability verification under underground operating conditions. Continuous monitoring and evaluation will further validate the system’s performance and durability in real-world mining environments.
